The Journal of Medical Regulation has been in continuous publication since 1913 under several titles and publication schedules. Soon after its founding in 1912, the Federation of State Medical Boards began publication of a quarterly journal. The publication has undergone multiple changes over the course of a century, including name, formatting and publication schedule.

First published in 1913 as the Quarterly of the Federation of State Boards of the United States, the publication was renamed in April 1915 as the Monthly Bulletin when a monthly publication schedule was adopted. In January 1921, the name was shortened to the Federation Bulletin. This name and the monthly publication schedule continued until 1999 when the publication was returned to a quarterly publication schedule under the name the Journal of Medical Licensure and Discipline. In 2010, the name was revised to Journal of Medical Regulation.

Available in the archive are all issues of the journal dating to 1967. Please check back as additional volumes covering the years 1913-1966 will be added in the future.
